Everyone Deserves to Sparkle
The second year of me participating into the role of a college student is approaching. Days of coffee and no where near enough sleep also approaches. This year has much promise though, with my new friends and being involved on the campus. According to my current life plan this will be my last year here , with me transferring next fall. Today’s title comes from an organization that I support 275% - The Sparkle Effect. The Sparkle Effect is an organization where students across the country create cheerleading squads that include students with disabilities. I strongly believe in acceptance whether that is kids with disabilities or people wanting the freedom of marriage. The bottom line is we are all human and we all have the right of happiness so why is happiness being denied to so many people? If you feel the same then stand up for what you believe in everyone deserves the same rights and the same quality of life!
Friends?
A friend is someone with whom you can be yourself around. I suppose I am looking for that. I already have my best friends, but now I need friends you are geeks! I mean who else can I geek out with about comics and movies with? However there are requirements to be my geek-mate :) First you must love Star Wars (I am okay with you just liking Star Wars however, you just have to at least like it!) Next comes Doctor Who, okay this is my current minor obsession, so you should also like this show, and agree that the 10th doctor is the best (this is mandatory! David Tennant is the best!!!!) The next is optional but gives you brownie points. I have read all of the Harry Potter books and love the series! I am going to be a History Teacher when I get out of college, so if any of following topics interest you, more brownie points for you!

Is it April yet?
I need some baseball and soccer, I need a sport that I actually like to WATCH, don’t get me wrong football is fun to play, but baseball and soccer is both fun to play and watch. I think I am going to try and get out to at least a couple games each this summer, with a group of friends, because friends make the games even more fun. So I am so ready for this snow to be gone so that I can be out in the sun, with the scent of peanuts and hot dogs, and hearing the cracks of bats echoing throughout the park.

Digging holes builds character…
Today is day 2 of this wonderful Blizzard of Oz, and toto we aren’t in kansas anymore because I have finally dug a hole out of my house, really I just cleared the driveways finally, 2 hours was the grand total of time, and now I am incredibly sore from the shoveling. All tonight will consist of is cooking dinner snuggling in bed and maybe throw in a load of laundry so that I have clean clothes just in case I do have to leave my base camp mi cama tomorrow. hopefully this snow will leave soon, since it was groundhogs day and he didn’t see his shadow so its only 6 more weeks of winter….hopefully

I am trapped inside my house bored. So far on the first day of this blizzard of Oz I have watched 5 movies baked 1 cheesecake, about to start on dinner. This is getting very boring. I am tired of all this snow, maybe i wouldn’t be so bitter if I wasn’t alone and bored. Classes have already been canceled for tomorrow which is good, and the snow plows have now come by 3 times today which is a record for my town. Hopefully this all ends soon so that I don’t have too watch all these seasons of Lost that are on my instant queue on Netflix….and as for the snow plows…they just just went back by so make that 4 times. Oh well this is snow joking matter, if my power goes out then I will be one not so happy snow bunny :(

It is said that honesty is the best way to go, however when you ask someone to be honest with you and then they tell what is wrong with you, you generally don’t want to hear it or listen,or better yet you get mad because you are offended by the truth. So here is the moral of the story if you would rather be lied to with your feelings spared then go right on ahead, but if you can put on your big kid pants and take it, I challenge you to ask someone besides your friend who can lie our face off what your faults are, and see if you can take it.
why are we so afraid to express ourselves? why can’t we just tell the person we love how we truly feel? why can’t the emotions we have be expressed? why can’t you make up your mind? why are you so afraid to take a chance? don’t compare the past to your future. Just take a leap of faith, dive in, I already did and the water is fine.

Life, do we take it for granted? do we want to really share it with someone? do we give away to the god of our choosing? do we live it to the fullest? what do we do with it? They say to make lemonade out of the lemons life pelts right at our heads, but what if while you are making the lemonade a lemon squirts you in the eye? what then? How are you expected to just be all grins after all the things that has happened. We are humans, we have emotions, yet we don’t know how to show our emotions to the ones we really love, driving them away because your message of love gets scrambled while it is translated from the millions of bee’s in your hive to the words that flow through your fingers to type onto your keypad or even the words that break the barrier of your lips. Why are we afraid to say how we truly feel? So here is my question to all of you…What are you doing with your lemons?
